This beautiful home in the heart of Lido Island was recently remodeled to portray the sophisticated yet charmingly relaxed lifestyle of this beach-bound family of four. The vast, white exterior walls of the 2-story home cried out for a combination of clean, lush tones of green and olive. A large field-grown Olea europea (olive tree) was hand selected for the central patio facing the public strada. Clean lines of blue Mexican pebble flow between the floating concrete pads, seeded with coral and seashells. A green hedge of Prunus caroliniana 'bright n tight' encloses the patio and absorbs the morning sun. Elegantly bold pottery, cozy lounge seating and a restored picnic table were all chosen by the homeowners to achieve the private, peaceful setting they desired. A combination of low-flow rotating sprinkler nozzles and dripline were utilized to conserve water.
