This Spanish-style treasure is located on a corner lot of West Los Angeles. The owners wanted low-water, low maintenance, California-friendly. The entire yard was covered with thirsty lawn when we arrived. The lawn was removed, a fence installed to enclose the yard, a deck added for seating and a wood pergola over a paver patio was constructed to create a cozy outdoor dining area in the back yard. Mature, field-grown olives frame the entry pathway made of decomposed granite. A variety of hardy, low-water grasses and shrubs were selected for the softscape.
